Save the Date: Call for Panels & Papers Opens 21 May 2026
We are excited to announce the Call for Panels and Conference Papers for 2027 IEEE PES Grid Edge Technologies Conference & Exposition, to be held 19-22 April 2027 in Salt Lake City, Utah. As one of the most prestigious gatherings in the field, we invite experts and thought leaders to participate by proposing engaging and insightful panels, or submit conference papers that address critical topics impacting the grid edge, including but not limited to the following:

Panel Proposal Submission Requirements
Panel proposals should include the following:
- Title of the Panel.
- Technical Description (Up to 350 words).
- Moderator and Panelists’ Information: Name, affiliations, contact information
- Promotional or commercial discussions are not allowed.
- Panel duration will be 60 minutes.
Panel Proposal Evaluation Criteria:
- Creativity, clarity and quality.
- Significant industry involvement.
- Collaborative cross-disciplinary topics or teams.
- Follow the conference technical scopes.
Panel proposal submission site will be open on 21 May 2026, and all proposals must be submitted by 10 July 2026. A link to the submission site will be available from the PES home page. Selected panels will be notified by 1 October 2026 with potential revisions requested before the conference.
Conference Paper Submission Requirements
Papers (maximum length five (5) pages) must be prepared in accordance with the PES Authors Kit. Full papers must be submitted to the on-line submission and review site. A link to the submission site will be available from the PES home page on 21 May 2026. All papers must be submitted by 10 July 2026. Authors will be advised via email of acceptance or rejection of the paper by 1 October 2026. If revisions are required, authors will be notified prior to that date.
Paper Selection
Submission of a paper does not guarantee acceptance. Quality and relevancy of the submitted paper is the highest priority for acceptance. Papers will undergo a rigorous review process via the IEEE PES Technical Committees.
Presentation of Conference Papers
All accepted conference papers will be scheduled for presentation at the poster sessions. Presentation of an accepted paper at the conference is a requirement of publication. Any paper that is not presented at the conference will not be included in IEEE Xplore.
Conference Registration
All panelists and moderators must attend the conference in-person and must register for the meeting and pay the appropriate fee. At least one author of each accepted conference paper must register for the meeting and pay the appropriate fee. Conference papers will not be released for publication in the 2027 PES Grid Edge Technologies Conference & Expo Proceedings unless the fee is paid.
Note: Registration deadline for authors may be earlier than the general registration deadline.
